UAE to Cover Accommodation Costs for Stranded Guests
The Abu Dhabi Department of Culture and Tourism has issued a written notice to hotels regarding guests who are unable to leave the country due to travel restrictions.
In the official letter dated February 28, 2026, hotels were requested to extend the stays of guests whose departure dates have passed but who are unable to travel. It was stated that guests may continue staying at hotels until travel becomes possible.
The Department confirmed that the costs of the extended stays will be covered by the authority and that relevant invoices must be submitted to the designated officials.
